SeaWorld Abu Dhabi brings back biggest-ever electric ocean festival until August 30
New characters, neon performances and family entertainment take centre stage
ABU DHABI – SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi is bringing back its popular Electric Ocean Festival for a third consecutive year, promising its biggest and most spectacular edition yet.
Running until August 30, the festival transforms the world's largest indoor marine life theme park into a vibrant celebration filled with dazzling entertainment, glowing performances and immersive family experiences.
Visitors can expect a packed programme of limited-time attractions designed to celebrate the energy and wonder of the ocean.
Electric Ocean Festival
This year's Electric Ocean Festival introduces an exciting line-up of new festivities alongside returning favourites. The entire Marine Life Theme Park comes alive with colourful lighting, music and ocean-inspired entertainment, creating an atmosphere where guests can experience the unexpected energy of the marine world through interactive storytelling and live performances.
One Ocean, the park's central attraction, once again becomes the heart of the celebration with a spectacular neon-infused ocean showcase. The daily festivities begin with a brand-new interactive opening ceremony led by the festival's newest characters and hosts, Volt and Current, welcoming visitors into the glowing underwater-inspired celebration.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a lively programme of pop-up entertainment featuring energetic dancers, dynamic jugglers and an engaging roaming processional that moves through the park. Every performance is enhanced with dazzling visual effects, immersive lighting and powerful sound, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.
Interactive experiences
Among the festival's newest attractions is Power Surge, an interactive adventure where guests join Current alongside SeaWorld Abu Dhabi's popular live character DJ Shivers to help restore the power and pulse of One Ocean. The experience invites families to become part of the story while contributing to the festival's electrifying atmosphere through engaging activities.
Returning and new experiences have been designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Guests can take part in silent discos, discover interactive attractions and enjoy entertainment that captures the colourful spirit of Electric Ocean. Popular SeaWorld Abu Dhabi characters including Sakina, SeaStar, Puck and Shivers also return throughout the festival, offering memorable encounters, surprises and family-friendly moments across the park.
The festival combines immersive entertainment with storytelling to create experiences that celebrate marine life while encouraging meaningful connections with the ocean. Every performance and attraction reflects the park's signature One Ocean message, highlighting the interconnected relationship between life on Earth and the world's oceans.
Conservation mission
Beyond the entertainment, Electric Ocean Festival continues to support SeaWorld Abu Dhabi's wider commitment to marine conservation and education. Through its Admission with a Mission initiative, every visit contributes to the ongoing conservation, research, rescue and rehabilitation work carried out by the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center.
The initiative reinforces the park's mission of inspiring guests to take positive action for ocean conservation while supporting one of the region's leading marine research facilities.
SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, operated by Miral Experiences, is the region's first Marine Life Theme Park and tells its signature One Ocean story through eight uniquely themed realms. The park offers immersive family experiences, close-up animal encounters, rides, entertainment, dining and shopping while promoting awareness of marine ecosystems and conservation.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi
The park is recognised for maintaining high standards of animal welfare based on internationally recognised best practices. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is the region's first facility to receive certification from Global Humane, the world's largest certifier of animal welfare, and is also the region's third facility to earn accreditation from the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA).
It also holds accreditation from the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA), the Southeast Asian Zoos & Aquariums Association (SEAZA), the International Marine Animal Trainers' Association (IMATA) and the World Association of Zoos & Aquariums (WAZA). Representing the next generation of zoological care, the park's habitats have been custom-designed using advanced technology with a strong focus on animal welfare.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is home to the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center, the first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return centre of its kind in the region. The facility serves as an advanced marine science knowledge hub while contributing to marine life conservation across the UAE and beyond. Building on SeaWorld's 60 years of expertise in animal care, rescue, rehabilitation and conservation, the centre brings global knowledge and experience to the region.
Developed by Miral in partnership with United Parks & Resorts, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is the first new SeaWorld park to open in 30 years and the first outside the United States. The indoor Marine Life Theme Park is managed and operated by Miral Experiences and continues to combine world-class entertainment with education, conservation and marine animal care through initiatives designed to inspire future generations of ocean advocates.
